Ms. Alex brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as a Mentor Teacher Trainer at Little Learners Lodge and Montessori of Mount Pleasant. Alex’s journey into education began with a deeply personal mission to become a better parent for her son. Her commitment to learning and respect for every individual, regardless of age, has shaped her teaching philosophy and continues to guide her career.

Ms. Alex’s perspective on child development deepened when she joined the infant community at MMPSchool. This transformative experience enhanced her understanding of how children learn, and she has since dedicated herself to fostering independence and collaboration in her classrooms. For the past twenty years as a Primary Caregiver, Alex has guided children, parents, and caregivers through careful observation and intentionally curated environments. After twenty years of teaching at the center, Ms. Alex now takes her RIE and Pikler knowledge and shares it with families via Family Guidance classes.

In her new role as Parent Guidance Facilitator and Consultant, Alex envisions the school as not only a center of learning for children but also a growing hub for parent and educator training. She believes that respect is the cornerstone of her career and personal life, a principle she instills in her students and shares with parents.

Ms. Alex has left a legacy of supporting confident, respectful individuals who carry forward the values of MMP School’s small, intentional community. She encourages parents to embrace the uniqueness of their children, trust their instincts, and make decisions based on individual needs.
