Ms. Artashea

Teacher

Ms. Artashea, also affectionately known as Ms. GiGi, is currently on the RIE Pathways towards Associate status and serves the MMPSchool community as a primary Zero-Three teacher and co-facilitator for Parent Guidance classes. As a loving mother of three, Artashea’s career transitioned from Nutrition and Food Management to following the needs of her little ones as she entered the early childhood profession. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes nurturing young children with love and understanding and shaping their self-awareness and confidence in ways that will resonate throughout their lives.

Artashea’s journey at MMP School began with a simple job application but evolved into a passion for fostering a community where children and parents alike feel supported. She believes in creating spaces where children are free to choose their work, collaborate with peers, and develop a sense of independence and teamwork. Ms. GiGi’s collaborative approach extends to addressing the challenges facing children and teachers working in institutions. She has developed techniques and forged avenues of support by providing video training and resources for parents and educators working with young children.

Artashea envisions MMP School as a thriving community where mentorship and education prepare the next generation of Montessori educators. She hopes her students carry with them a strong sense of self-awareness, confidence, and love for their community. To parents, Artashea offers this heartfelt advice: “Give yourself grace. There’s no such thing as a perfect parent, but your children’s forgiveness and love remind us to strive to be better every day.”
