Ms. Nomi
Assistant Teacher
Ms. Nomi, an infant primary teacher at MMP School, brings a rich tapestry of experience, education, and global perspective to her role. Born and raised in Japan, Nozomi earned degrees in English, Architecture, and Child Development, as well as certifications in AMI Montessori Infant and Toddler Education, RIE Foundations, and Reiki. Her unique blend of skills and passions empowers her to design nurturing environments that support children’s holistic growth.
Nozomi’s journey into early childhood education began with a personal quest to better understand child development after moving to the U.S. with her young son. Experiencing cultural differences in childcare practices inspired her to seek a science-based, universal approach to human development. This exploration not only enriched her parenting but also sparked a deep commitment to supporting other families in creating peaceful, harmonious lives.
Her early career included working in a children’s shelter, an emotionally impactful experience that strengthened her determination to make a difference in the lives of children. Discovering Montessori and RIE practices at MMP School was transformative, affirming her belief in respectful, individualized approaches to education.Â
To stay inspired, Nozomi continues to learn and grow, blending her expertise in child development with her skills in energy healing and mindfulness practices. Nozomi hopes her students carry with them a deep care for themselves, others, and their environment. To parents, she offers this wisdom: “Observe and adapt your environment to meet your child’s needs first—this builds trust and helps them flourish.
